Last week when Henry and I were in The Ohio Amish valley we found out that our good friends Dr. Miller's daughter Heidi just got married and we did not hear anything about it so I wanted to find out a little more about the Amish Wedding and it is very interesting. I picked-up a new magazine called Amish Life at one of our favorite coffee stops (& SWEETS OF COURSE)!!! Here is an exert from one of the articles from the new 2012 Guide.
AMISH WEDDINGS
Here is a version of the SLUSH a frozen breadkfast salad that is absolutly fantastic!
This version is made with rasberries which I am sure is just as wonderful as the original version, you have to try this out. At ehe Amish breakfast that cust it out of a big cake pan like giant blocks of ice about 3" - 4", this one is from a local B&B (CONUTRY VICTORIAN BED & BREAKFAST) and is a bit more refind.
So easy and so WONDERFUL:
Frozen Fruit Slush
Well tomorrow we leave for the Midwest Hardwoods Show, basically one of the AMISH Markets. Looking forward to seeing what is up this year on Amish Looks for the season.......you might be surprised.....
Did you know . . . that many Amish vehicles are pulled by retired race horses?
Did you know . . . that Plain folks were into social networking long before computers and Facebook?
“What is the “Sustainable Furnishings Council” and how is it connected with the AMISH and solid hardwood furniture?”
How could the AMISH not be connected to a healthy planet EARTH. We are all concerned about our environment and there is no other culture that supports natural and responsible living more than the AMISH in their lives every single day.
