At Burress, we give you the flexibility to choose from our huge selection of stock showroom items or customize the perfect solid wood furniture for your home. Take size for example. If you see a dining room table that you like, we can make it the right size to fit your room and you can choose your wood and finish too. Or, if you have your own drawing we can have it made to your specifications.

All of our furniture is genuine handcrafted from premium hardwood stock. Individual pieces of lumber are hand selected for their beauty and quality. What's more, all of our lumber is grown from sustainable forests throughout the northeastern United States making every piece of furniture eco friendly and non-destructive to the environment.
Creating A Custom Piece of Furniture
Style- There are many styles of Amish furniture available. Choose from Mission, Shaker, Traditional, Country, Victorian, Transitional, French, Vintage and Early American furniture styles.
Fabric-Upholster your chairs in fabric or top grain leather. We have several fabric and leather samples in our Elgin showroom. Your furniture specialist can also order samples for you to choose from. Wood-The wood is possibly the most important choice in a custom piece of furniture. You can pick between red oak, cherry, quarter sawn white oak, maple, walnut and hickory.
Finish-We have 12 finish colors to choose from. We can also do stain matches. We also recommend that if you have color preferences that you bring a sample of them when you visit our showroom.
Size-Size and shape are key elements when choosing a table. Bring your room dimensions into the showroom, and we can help you pick furniture that will fit right.
Custom Tables- It is helpful to buy dining room chairs at the same time as the table. That way they will age at the same rate so that the table does not look older than the chairs. We can also provide tables that will comfortably fit your family, and have the ability to expand, and fit more people for when you have company. Leaves are available at no extra charge.
